Much of the work of the Pritzker Local School Council is done by volunteers who dedicate themselves to a specific area of work. Volunteers are organized by committee, and these committees advise and report to the LSC. Parents, community members and teachers interested in specific areas of school life can choose to volunteer for one or more of the following committees. Please join us! The Pritkzer School Local School Council (LSC) meets one Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM at the school. Click here to see a full schedule of meetings. These meetings are open to everyone. The Pritzker School LSC welcomes and encourages the participation of parents, community members, teachers and neighbors. You can contact an LSC member to have an item placed on the agenda. You can also attend meetings and speak at the open forum at every regular meeting.
The Pritzker LSC encourages parents, teachers and community members to participate by serving on committees that work to improve school life.
The Local School Council is an elected body whose primary responsibilities are to select the school's principal, renew the principal's contract, approve the School Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement, and approve the school´s budget. The Local School Council consists of 6 parents, 2 teachers, 2 community members and the principal of the school. Council members are elected every two years in April. The LSC holds a regular meeting once a month. Meetings for the 2007-2008 school year are scheduled for Wednesdays and generally begin at 5:30 PM.
